ABOUT:
Morten Uglebjerg Norli is a Danish-Norwegian international performing artist and clown teacher, based in Copenhagen.
After learning juggling from his cousin at the age of ten, Morten went on to attend AFUK circus school in Copenhagen. Having worked extensively and toured internationally with Norwegian street theatre company, Stella Polaris, he discovered his passion for the clown archetype. Further study under French mime clown, Didier Danthois in London and Tenerife, has helped Morten further hone his expertise in clown teaching.
Through mime, dance, circus skills and clowning, Morten’s artistic focus is bringing a sense of wonder, curiosity and joy into people’s lives. As well as acclaimed performances on theatre stages, his work has been highly valuable within numerous institutions such as nursing homes, schools and kindergartens.

Cirkus Memoarer
​
In the performance Cirkus Memoarer, old memories from the circus' heyday are brought to life. Circus acts and cabaret songs are presented with a twinkle in the eye, beautiful accordion playing, great stories and songs that both old and young will recognize.
Cirkus Memoarer is made in collaboration with The Cirkus Museum in Hvidovre (DK). The performance will tour theatres, culture houses and nursing homes in Denmark in 2021 and 2022

La Eclosion de la Crisalida (The Chrysalis Hatching)

A site-specific clown performance based on the method "Sacred Clowning", created and played in Tenerife in 2019. Nine artists from Norway, Germany, England, Spain and France were involved in the creative process.

Through Mortens 19 years of experience in the field, he has developed unique artistic work for children and older people. He has always had a particular interest in creating art for vulnerable groups like children with special needs and older people with dementia.
